Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) has been established in 2004 under the aegis of Symbiosis International University.
Design involves problem finding, problem solving, analysis, invention and evaluation guided by a deep sensitivity to environmental concerns and human-centered, aesthetic, cultural and functional needs. It is a profession that is concerned with the creation of products, systems, communications and services that satisfy human needs, improve people's lives and do all of this with respect for the welfare of the natural environment.

Eligibility
Candidates must have passed their 10+2 (any stream) or equivalent with minimum of 50% marks obtained in the final examination to be eligible for all the four courses mentioned above.

Orientation & Methodology
SID offers a 4 year Graduate degree in Communication Design, Product Design and Fashion Communication. These programmes are aimed at creating professional designers who can contribute to the highly dynamic and competitive world of Design.
The curriculum at SID offers optimum mix of traditional design skills. SID works on the methodology of evaluating the students on the basis of daily performance, projects and written examination at the end of the term.
